About the Role
As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling videos for our brand and clients to enhance online presence and drive engagement. You will be responsible for editing and enhancing raw footage, adding sound effects, music, transitions, titles, and other elements to create high-quality videos. You will also collaborate with other designers, writers, and managers to ensure that the final products meet the client’s expectations and deadlines. Please note that this is a full-time role. As such, you will be working from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm remotely. Please note that you will begin with a probation period of three months. During this time, your performance and deliverables will be assessed. If satisfactory, you will be confirmed as a full-time staff of the company.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality video footage in-studio and on-location.
- Manage technical aspects of video recording and editing.
- Collaborate with creative teammates to develop innovative content.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align video content with campaign goals.
- Ensure consistency with company brand guidelines.
- Develop and implement an overall video brand messaging strategy.
- Edit and produce engaging videos for various clients and projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in video editing.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and meet project demands.
- Portfolio showcasing your video editing work.
Nice to Have
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
- Knowledge of color grading and sound design.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and video optimization.
Salary
Your starting salary will be One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) per month during probation and One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira (N120,000) after probation. You will also have access to benefits such as data allowance, health insurance, paid leave, and training opportunities.
